A Day of New Beginnings

by admin ~ October 1st, 2008

A day of new beginnings!

The Father’s House 2330 Hickory Valley Road

Chattanooga, Tennessee

October 1st .7:00PM

Friends & Family at The Father’s House,

A few weeks ago, God dropped this phrase into my spirit! It went through me like a lightening bolt and I knew immediately that this was not a nice saying but that there was great significance to that terminology.

As I prayed over this, the Lord reminded me that He had proclaimed a “Day of New Beginnings” in Israel. As I looked into this I soon discovered that day is called Rosh Hashanah. This is the day that Israel marks the beginning of a new year. They ushered in the New Year with the sounding of the shofar and a time of preparation to embrace the new!

Rosh Hashanah means – the letting go of the old to embrace the new! WOW! What a powerful statement. As I continued to look I discovered that Rosh Hashanah is SEPTEMBER 30th. This is what I was moved to do.

All of us and (I do mean ALL of us), need to step into the NEW that God has for us. In order to do that, we need to let go of the old and then prepare our hearts to embrace the new!

Now this is exciting!!!! This is what we are going to do at The Father’s House. On Wednesday, October 1st, in our service we are going to celebrate “A DAY OF NEW BEGINNINGS”. We will be sounding the shofar and calling in a new day! If you can, BE HERE!

We are writing down what we are believing God to unfold in our lives in this new day and we are also writing down what we are letting go of so that we will not be hindered in embracing all that God has for us.

We are taking these to the altar and laying it all down there! We are believing God for a night of MIRACLES!

If you can’t be here then you do the same thing by proclaiming God’s new day in your life and also what you are letting go of. Put it in an email and send it back to me so that I may have it to place on the altar with the rest of ours.

I know that something is going to break in the heavenlies while we sound the shofar and proclaim this day of new beginnings! Don’t miss this day of embracing all the new that God has for you!

Sharing His Treasure

Sharing His Treasure

Romans 8:17 has a very powerful and interesting statement that declares who we are: “Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ Jesus”. That is a powerful proclamation of the truth of the redemptive work of Christ! Look at this same text in the New Living Translation.

” WE SHARE HIS TREASURE”

Not only did God design us to live in His presence but also to share His treasure becoming His heir and a joint heir with Christ. I will need to come back in the near future and expand on what all that means to you and me, but today I want to leave you 3 key practices that you can apply to your life so that you can walk in His shared treasure.

The parable of the sower found in Mark chapter four, reminds of the “things” that come into our life will choke out the productivity of the word of God. Cares, anxieties, distractions and the love for other things creep in all which limit God’s ability to function in our lives.

As Christians we are not exempt from problems. However, we must be careful not to take ownership of what does not belong to us. Don’t sign for the package that the enemy is bringing to your doorstep. Just mark it “return to sender”. If you take ownership of it, it is yours and what happens then can be devastating. You internalize your problems; the thorns come in and choke out the life of the word. Your internal worrying can also take a great toll on you physically.

Here are the THREE KEYS to help you keep the passion for the word and your dream alive.

1. Stop looking at what is wrong in your life and start rejoicing and be thankful for what you do have.

Get off of the negative and get into the positive in your life.

2. Everyday is a gift from God. Enjoy it and invest your time well.

Slow down and smell the roses, you won’t get any do overs.

3. We attract what we think about.

If you want good things then check out your thought life.

I know this sounds so simple but they work. Your life is a garden that will produce from the word of God sown into it. We must become good gardeners and take care of the weeds. If you don’t take care of them, no one else will.

I really enjoy coming into your life today. I care about you and want you to share in His treasure. Put these simple practices to work. Let me hear from you as I am always excited to hear what God is doing in your life.

Now go be a blessing to someone today!

Outpouring at the Father’s House

by bishop ~ June 30th, 2008

“The Outpouring”

Something is happening at The Father’s House on Wednesday nights! There is a new OUTPOURING of the Holy Spirit that is taking place!

Recently in a Monday night prayer service Bishop Coleman saw angels coming into the sanctuary carrying golden bowls and laying them down at the foot of the altar. He asked the Lord what was the meaning of what he saw and was told that these bowls represented special gifts and visitations that are being given.

Over the past several months’ people have been sharing about miracles that they have been witnessing. To date over seven cases of cancer have disappeared or gone into remission. Recently Pastor Coleman has encouraged the people to be bold in their faith and capture opportunities to pray for people outside the church. The church has to take time on Sunday morning for people to share about the “God Encounters” they are having during the week!

Recently the church has been experiencing an OUTPOURING in Wednesday night’s service. There are times of such a heavy anointing that people are staggering, some laughing. It’s like Acts chapter two all over again. “These people are not drunk with wine” it’s the Holy Spirit!

Bishop Coleman has witnessed what he described as a Holy Light coming on people as they are healed or ministered too. There is just an awesome tangible presence of God in these services.

If you are hungry, thirsty and have been craving for an outpouring of His presence I would encourage you to get to The Father’s House on Wednesday night. We are located at 2330 Hickory Valley Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

We Have a Choice

Friends;

I know it has been awhile since I have sent out our letter of words of encouragement for The Victorious Life. I didn’t realize how important they were until a friend told me how much they had meant to him and that he passed them along to his friends as well. Here is this week’s word of encouragement.

We have a choice!

Every day is filled with choices. Those choices will determine the outcome of our day and our tomorrows. The biggest choice that you will make is what you will choose to believe. We are surrounded by a lot of negative circumstances, people and situations. The enemy, of who you are, works overtime to position stuff around to distract us from whom we are and where we are going.

THE ENEMY DOES NOT FIGHT BECAUSE OF WHERE YOU BUT BECAUSE OF WHERE YOU ARE GOING!

The enemy sees your potential and if he can stop you where you are he doesn’t have top deal with where you are going! It’s amazing how he seems to have more faith in our future than we do.

He is busy filling our heads with lies, messing with our emotions and playing the “what if” game. We can not allow ourselves to fall for his lies.

WHEN WE BELIVE THE LIE WE EMPOWER THE LIAR

Don’t open doors for the enemy so to empower him by falling for his lies. We must make a choice of whom we believe. The circumstances that we face may be real but they are subject to change and the final outcome is up to you. I refuse to re-shape God in the image of my circumstances. To do so would be to re-create God in my image and bring Him down to my level. I also refuse to re write my belief system because of the circumstance that I see.

Faith believes and faith stands!

Make wise choices today. Choose life! Choose to believe His promise! One of my favorite scripture verses is from the book of Isaiah, chapter 42:8, “the grass withers and the flower fades but the word of our God stands forever”. Jesus said it this way, “Heaven and earth may pass away but my words will never pass away”.

Don’t ever forget who you are in God. He has a plan for your life. You have a Kingdom destiny. You were born with a Kingdom assignment!

Now go be a blessing to someone today!
